We are f..g home - our flight to Frankfurt was cancelled. Mechanical problems on the way from Frankfurt and plane was diverted to Canada
Oh, well, things happen. What does not happen - Lufthansa's behavior. It's unf...g believable!!!!!!!! They do nothing! They gave us 800-number to call for rebooking. So we are calling and we are standing in a huuuuge line, thinking that we'll get rebooked either online or in person. Guess what - that line was for TAXI vouchers. They were not doing any rebookings at the counter! NONE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then it took me only oh ... 30 minutes to get to someone at 800-number and they REFUSED to rebook us. We have an award tickets, so they don't want to pay another airline for us, so they send us back to United. By then, my DH already spoke to United and was told .... THE SAME THING. It's not their ticket anymore - Lufthansa has to rebook, since it's their mechanical problems
We could've called United back ... and we did .... but their reservation system went down ... and it's been down for the last 2 hours - that must be the biggest outage in their history
WTF???????????????????????????????????? Should I listen to all the signs and just not go anywhere??? FAT CHANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Вообще мы первый раз так screwed up - они продолжают твердить, что хоть мы и должны были лететь на них, но поскольку билеты за мили, то их не волнует как мы попадем во Франкфурт, что это забота Юнайтед :( Я просто в шоке - мне такое даже в голову никогда не приходило в плане "опасностей" билетов за мили ... Если рейс отменен, значит компания должна всех как-то доставить в пункт назначения - оказывается нет :(

I am sorry, this truly sucks! i gotta say though it's better to be home when this happens and not in some city trying to figure out hotel accommodations. So, at leas you're home. But the rest sucks ass!
